Adavances in the MLPG Method

A special Symposium on " Advances in the MLPG Method" is being organized at the conference, ICCESMM08, during 13-17 October 2008, in Suzhou, China.

An edited Monograph, titled "Advances in the MLPG Method", containing the full-length( unlimited length) papers presented at this Symposium, will be published very soon after the Symposium. IF THE PAPERS REPRESENT THE FIRST PUBLICATIONS OF ORIGINAL MATERIAL, THEY WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED FOR PUBLICATION IN "CMES:COMPUTER MODELING IN ENGINEERING & SCIENCES". an SCI indexed journal, with a very high Impact Factor.

We would like to welcome your presentation and full-length paper, on any of the following topics:
  • MLPG methods based on a variety of local trial functions, such as MLS, RBF, and MQ, etc.,
  • MLPG methods based on a variety of local test functions: Dirac delta (collocation, finite point); Heaviside(finite volume); Least-Squares; Fundamental Solutions(LBIE);equivalent Galerkin;, etc,
  • Methods for optimizing the various parameters in the MLPG trial and test functions,
  • MLPG Mixed Methods for improving the physically-based independent approximations of different field-variables in a set of PDE.
  • Advances in local mesh-less integration schemes for evaluating the weak-forms,
  • Convergence and error-estimators in MLPG methods,
  • MLPG methods for short-time as as well as steady state dynamic responses,
  • MLPG methods in solid mechanics(plates and shells, composite materials, etc.,) fluid mechanics, transport phenomena, electromagnetics, etc.,
  • MLPG methods in topology-optimization, large deformation solid mechanics, contact, impact, and penetration mechanics,
  • MLPG methods for the gradient theory of elasticity and plasticity,
  • Equation solvers for the MLPG methods,
  • MLPG methods for modeling multi-scale phenomena in space and time coordinates, and
  • any other topic which you consider to be appropriate.

All accepted papers will be allotted EQUAL time, with ample time for discussions on open questions on how to advance the state-of-science in this general method of computational engineering and science.

Please respond to this email, by submitting a brief abstract, at: http://submission.techscience.com/icml/default.asp

We will request full-length papers by January 2009, for publication in the Monograph.

We look forward to welcoming you toSuzhou, China, in October 2008.

Sincerely,

ICCES MM 2008
