History

ABEEK

In the era of globalization, many countries across the world have focused on the international standardization of engineering education.

Its purposes are twofold: one is to establish the foundation for engineering education, which is required in the knowledge- and skill-based society of the 21st century, and the other is to achieve international competition by fostering certified engineers.

In this context, the certification system for engineering education guarantees the preparedness for the practical international engineering tasks.

Our department was certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea (ABEEK), and those who completed the program have been certified with Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering Program since 2007.

Employment - last 2 years

Many of the graduates from our department have led the industrial development, working for major shipbuilding companies such as Hyundai, DSME, Samsung, STX and Hanjin heavy industries Co., LTD.
